Excursions from Five Fingers Bungalows
Here are some suggestions of things to do for half a day
 | Walk into the village (5/10 minutes) and have a drink/ice cream there before making purchases from the mini-market and walking back. |
| Catch a dolmus into Kyrenia. Arif can phone and arrange for you to be collected from Five Fingers. A Dolmus is a shared taxi (Ford Transit sized), departs from Ozankoy on the hour every hour and costs about 40p pp! You can return by Dolmus or catch a taxi (cost £4/5) |
| In Kyrenia town you can shop and visit the harbour for a drink |
| Take another visit to Kyrenia and walk over Kyrenia Castle and visit the very interesting ship museum (the oldest boat ever recovered from the sea) in the castle. |
| St Hillarion Castle - At the top of the mountains immediately behind Kyrenia with tremendous views over Cyprus |
| Visit Lara beach - A nice sandy beach about 10 minutes drive from Five Fingers |
| Visit Alagadi Beach - This is a beautiful beach. The beach is closed at night time May-Oct as Turtles nest here. Viewing of the turtles can be arranged in May/June when the turtles come to lay their eggs and the baby turtles hatch Aug/Sep |
| Bellapais Abbey - You do not need to drive to Bellapais as there is a circular walk from Ozankoy to Bellapais but it is uphill and will take about an hour to get there. |
| Visit the Pottery outside Kyrenia. See the Potters and artists at work and have plate(s), ash trays etc made to your own design. |

For those staying two weeks or longer we suggest a few longer excursions:
| Karpas peninsular - Plenty more Turtle beaches and spot a few wild donkeys. (The Cypriots released their donkeys at the tip of the peninsular when they were no longer needed and they have bred and can roam freely) This is a long way and so we suggest staying at the Park Hotel for two/three nights. This will then give you the opportunity of also seeing Famagusta, Salamis ( a large site which goes back to 11th century BC and St Barnabus church and icon museum |
| Visit Guzelyurt This area is the Cypress area of the island with many groves of oranges lemons and grapefruits. This can be combined with Visits to Soli and/or Voni, two archeological sites. |
| A visit to Famagusta combined with Salamis and St Barnabas monastery makes for a splendid day with great variety. |
