Brief flydrive itinerary:

3 nights stay at the hotel Terra Nostra Garden in the town of Furnas

2 nights stay at the Estalagem dos Clerigos in Nordeste

2 nights stay in the hotel Avenida in Ponta Delgada

Accommodation is 3 star grade with twin rooms having en suite facilities. Breakfast included throughout.

A flydrive holiday gives you so much more flexibility to drive around in your own time - to stop and wonder at the scenery as and when you please - to pull in for refreshment when you discover a local cafe or restaurant. In the Azores, distances are relatively short and the majority of roads are good - there are some hairpin bends and one or two roads are precipitous. If you wish you can upgrade your vehicle for a modest supplement so that you have a little more comfort while touring.

The price is based on the DIRECT flight operating on Tuesdays from Gatwick to Ponta Delgada with a group B car available for collection at the arrival airport for two persons for 7 days and includes insurance cover.

Whale / Dolphin Watching

Based on the Island of San Miguel

Stay 7 nights on San Miguel at the Hotel Avenida. Accommodation is in a twin room with private facilities on a bed & breakfast basis

Included in the holiday are

5 x 3 hour Dolphin & Whalewatching trips in 6 metre long Zodiac boats or similar

For those interested in seeing these wonderful mammals here is a great opportunity to see Dolphins & Whales in their natural environment.

In 1995 a Whale Watching Base was set up in the Azores in order to research and study these amazing creatures.
