This week a lot more workmen and equipment have appeared . A new opening has been made between the Pathfinders Room and the Choir Vestry and the opening in the rear wall of the church has also been formed. The delicate task of supporting the ceiling and knocking down the Choir Vestry wall has also been completed, revealing the whole undercroft area. |

Looking through the newly formed doorway into the choir vestry we see roof supports being installed before the rear wall of the church is broken through to form the large doorway. |
|
The versatile excavator is used to clear away the first batch of rubble from the new doorway. |

The excavator loads the rubble onto one of the dumper trucks. The rubble is taken to the front entrance where it is heaped up waiting for the grab lorry to arrive and take it away. |
|
Here we see the temporary supports which hold up the ceiling now that the Choir Vestry wall has been removed. The undercroft comes into view with lots of brick rubble and soil to be disposed of. |
