Most of our business to Horta in the Azores is for
sailors to either join or leave a yacht that is doing a transatlantice
crossing. Flights to Horta are not very easy. The Saturday
direct flight from Gatwick to Ponta Delgardo arrives so late into Punto
Delgardo that there is no same day connection to Horta and an overnight
stay on San Miguel is required.
Same day connections are sometimes possible via Oporto
or Lisbon. As these are variable dependant on the day of week and

warmer for cool evenings. A raincoat may well be required from
October to April because of the chance of showers.
